Pre-Arrangement

Allwood Funeral Home offers several options for prearrangement. Traditionally funeral arrangements were made on an at need basis, in other words, arrangements were made by family members after the death of a loved one has already occurred. Often it was thought of as morbid to pre-arrange a funeral especially if it was for yourself. In recent years however it has become more acceptable to pre-arrange a funeral service.
Pre-arrangements give the opportunity to make clear headed decisions about funeral purchases and also provides the funeral recipient the chance to let his wishes be known. Pre-arranging relieves the burden of making important family decisions at a very stressful time.

New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund
The New Jersey PrePaid Funeral Trust Fund places your money in an FDIC insured account so you be sure that your money is safe. Your money stays in your name and is completely refundable, except in the case of SSI/Medicaid. When your funeral arrangements are finalized, simply write a check to the New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund for the cost of the funeral. You may pay in full, or make a minimum payment of $500 and arrange a payment plan with the Allwood Funeral Home. Within 10 days, you will receive a confirmation of your account directly from the Trust Fund.
